We are pleased to announce the availability of a public beta of our AutoSender 2 product for Mac & Windows.
AutoSender is a tool that runs on the FileMaker Server, and allows you to automatically send mail messages from your FileMaker solutions.
So what's new in AutoSender 2?
support for sending messages via XML in addition to JDBC. This means that AutoSender will also run on a standard FileMaker Server 9, and no longer requires FMS9 Advanced.
completely new AutoSender Config application that replaces the functions of the FileMaker configurations file.
support for sending attachments from a FileMaker container field
support for a 'reply to' field
added preferences for attachment handling
added preference for setting the log level
you can now start/stop the daemon or service from the AutoSender Config app
added a 'Test SMTP settings' option as well as an SMTP debug option to troubleshoot SMTP server problems
much improved error handling

If you are a current user of AutoSender 1.x, make sure to read the included upgrade notes before installing.
Existing users of AutoSender 1.x will be able to upgrade to 2.0 for EUR 49,- or about USD 70,-. All AutoSender purchases after October 1st, 2007 are entitled to a free of charge upgrade.
Until the end of December 2007, special pricing is available for AutoSender 1.7 (with free upgrade to 2.0).
